The unfair Killing of the SCarlet Ibis

The chromatic Ibis, a short story by crew Hurst, demonstrates how selfishness and avariciousness can be physical exercised for the betterment of others. As shown in this short story, scrabbles blood pals perseverance comes only from selfishness, greed and pride. In the end guilt takes over, bringing bug out the brothers love life for Doodle, nevertheless though Doodle was the exact opposite of what his brother had wished for. The Scarlet Ibis is a short story about a son and his malformed brother, named Doodle. Doodles brother wants to have a unwavering brother, so he teaches Doodle how to walk, he pushes Doodle on, so he can be a regular kid. He pushes Doodle on to an extreme, and kills Doodle in the process. Doodles brother acted out of sheer selfishness, greed, and pride; nonhing else.          Doodles brother wanted a brother for the sole purpose of his entertainment, and Doodle did non receive in his brothers mold. It was bad enough having a n invalid brother, says the brother, that having virtuoso who possibly was not all there was unbearable, so I began to make plans to kill him... (345). This statement by Doodles brother shows his sideline in having a brother is not that of love, not that of kind companionship, but a brother that he could use for person-to-person entertainment. Doodles brother wanted a brother who was on the nose uniform him. A brother that could take care of himself and go on adventures with his brother, a brother like Doodle was not better enough for him, thus showing his level of insensitiveness and selfishness. On page 346 Doodles brother takes Doodle up to where his inclose is and makes him smell it. Doodles brother would only do this to reiterate his condition on Doodle and Doodles actions.
